2007 marks the 25th anniversary of the Bristol Group of Amnesty Internationals annual Goldney Garden Party. The event will take place on Sunday 5th August 2007, between 1pm and 5.30pm at Goldney Hall at the top of Constitution Hill in Clifton.
This years line up includes local bands Indigo Mood and Fromage en Feu together with the Hotwells Howlers, local singer songwriter Colin Parsons and regular Goldney entertainers the Tagliondando Duo.
Attracting over 1000 people the event has become a hugely popular family event in Bristol Summer calendar and is the groups largest fundraiser of the year.
With music, magic, children’s’ entertainment, great raffle prizes, cakes, ice creams, other charity stalls plus lots of fun and games this year’s event promises to be as popular as ever, whilst helping to raise awareness of Amnesty Internationals campaigning for human rights around the world.
To help celebrate the 25th Anniversary the group would like to invite friends and families who have supported the event over the last 25 years and helped to make it the great day out it now is.
The event is solely organised by volunteers and supported by the local community. Anyone interested in donating raffle prizes, cakes; which are sold on the day, contributions towards the cost of the event, would like to perform as a children’s entertainer, or could spare a few hours on the day should contact Helen Ostle on 07737 980 778 after 5.30pm, or email helenbristolamnesty@hotmail.co.uk.
